ANASTASIUS I, (A.D. 491-518), follis (small module), issued 498-507, Nicomedia mint, obv. diademed draped bust to r., rev. M over mintmark, (S.32, D.O. 29, not in BMC, Ratto, Bib. Nat., or Tolstoi collections). Has been cleaned, bankers mark in reverse field, otherwise fine and very rare.
