ANDRONICUS I, Commenus, (A.D. 1183-1185), Constantinople mint, Billon aspron trachy, obv. Virgin standing facing, MP-OV either side, rev. Christ and Andronicus holding labarum and cross on globe, legend either side, (S.1985). Even dark colour, some flattening, otherwise fine/nearly very fine and scarce.
