GROUP OF SEVEN: Distinguished Flying Cross (1944); 1939-45 Star; Africa Star; Italy Star; Defence Medal; British War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal; Flying Officer W.K.Paterson R.A.A.F. Stars unnamed. Medals impressed. Very fine.

Together with: Flying Log Book, photographs of recipient and combat scenes, copy of citation, congratulatory letters and verbatim German propaganda reports relating to one incident he was involved in. DFC LG:8 Sep 1944: 'Warrant Officer PATERSON has completed many sorties. He has operated from Malta, North Africa and Sardinia, attacking a variety of targets. In addition, he has completed a number of long range fighter patrols and is credited with at least one enemy aircraft destroyed. He has also completed mining reconnaissance and anti-shipping sorties. On two occasions, Warrant Officer PATERSON has flown back to base badly damaged aircraft, but his cool resourcefulness in these and other emergencies has been remarkable. He has always displayed outstanding courage and devotion to duty and has set a fine example to the remainder of the Squadron.'
