MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 170-1, obv. laureate head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around IMP ANTONINVS AVG TR P XXV, rev. around VOTA SOL DECENN, in exergue COS III, M. Aurelius standing to left, sacrificing at a tripod, at his feet a bull, (cf.S.1422, RIC 248, C.1031). Cleaned, very fine and scarce.
