MAXIMINUS I, (A.D. 235-238), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 236-8 (20.21 grams), obv. laureate bust of Maximinus to right, around MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG GERM, rev. around PAX AVGVSTI, Pax standing to left, with branch and sceptre, S C across field, (S.2353, RIC 81, C.38). Attractively green patina, good very fine.
