MARINIANA, wife of Valerian I, (A.D. 253-260), AE sestertius, (21.51 grams), obv. veiled and draped bust to right of Mariniana, around DIVAE MARINIANAE, rev. peacock standing facing head to left, tail in splendour, around CONSECRATIO, SC in field, (S.2931, RIC 9, Banti 3 (This Coin), C.7). Some light smoothing in the obverse field, attractive brown patina, good very fine and very rare.
