CARAUSIUS, (A.D. 287-293), silver denarius, Rouen mint, issued c.A.D.287-290, (3.73 grams), obv. laureate bust of Carausius to right, around IMP CARAVSIVS PF AVG, rev. around ROMANO RENOVA, wolf and twins, in exergue RSR, (cf.S.3573, RIC 572, Shield BAR 40, No.80). Toned, extremely fine, ting flan flaws but extremely rare.
