ANGLO-SAXON, Frisian Series, 'Standard' type, silver sceat, c.A.D. 700-750, obv. cross with pellets, rev. 'standard' with central annulet and letters around, (S.840, Metcalf 183ff). Very fine, with fragments chipped off, scarce.
