HENRY III, (1216-1272), silver penny, long cross issue, class 3c, issued 1251-1272, NIC/OLE/ON C/ANT, Canterbury mint, (S.1364, N.988). Extremely fine, with attractive even dark tone.
Ex. Slype find, (West Flanders, property of Baron Maleingreau D'Hembise) and Richard Cyril Lockett collection with his ticket and illustrated from the supplemenary plate 77 (row 5 no 5), Glendining's June 6-9 1955 (lot 1204 part) and with Dave Hess, Baton Rouge Louisiana envelope.
