Sgt/Col S.E. Norris, NSW Bushmen/Liverpool REgt. QSA and trio impressed. KSA engraved. Others unnamed. Very fine. $ DSO 1 Jan 1917. OBE 2 June 1943. Research on Norris family; and extract from 'Who's Who 1932'. Samuel Edward Norris was born at Mudgee NSW on 8 May 1874. He served in South Africa with the NSWCBC transferring to the Liverpool Regt. as 2nd Lt on 19 May 1900. He commanded 4th Btn the King's Regt. in 1918 and commanded 1st Gloustershire Btn Homeguard during the Second World War.
