AUSTRALIA. Group of Four. 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal; Decoration Civique (Belgium). Leut H.J.Beaton A.I.F. first three medals impressed and very fine belgian award with extensive enamel damage and in damaged case of issue. $ Henry John Beaton served in 1 FAB A.I.F. a unique award to the A.I.F. Together with: attestation papers; A.I.F. 'Statement of Service and Casualty,' which confirms Belgina Award; repatriation commission medical history which shows him to have been wounded at Gallipoli on 8 May 1915 and in France in April 1917 and gasses three times in 1917 and 1918; copy and translation of 'Moniteur Belge- Journal Officiel' referring to award and associated raesearch correspondence. Recipient died at Perth on 30 June 1956.
