Together with: Medal ribbon bar; Board of Trade Continuous Certificate of Discharge, with photograph of recipient and showing home address as Moore Park Sydney NSW; Certificate of Authority to wear war medals for the Mercantile Marine; letter from Board of Trade to 'Mr.L. Crook Northumberland St Waverley Sydney NSW'. Photograh of HMTS Minnitonka (sunk 1918); and photographs of officers and Australian nurses on board Minnitonka. Brother. Trio: 1939-45 Star; Atlantic Star; British War Medal 1939-45. Unnamed very fine. One pair, one trio. $ Together with: Royal Navy Certificate of Service to Able Seaman Reginald Vincent Crook, showing him discharged dead on 12 Dec 1939 whilst serving in HMS Duchess and his next of kin (mother) living at Coogee Sydney NSW; Medal Entitlement Certificate to Reginald Vincent Crook 'in respect of whose service these awards are granted and did not live to receive them'; large coloured honour scroll to recipent; large coloured 'crossing the line' certificate HMS Repulse 1923-and associated photograph album; HMS impregnable Christmas card 1923, postcard 'HMS Dragon goes to China' (to Hilda from uncle Reg); large photograph of HMS Repulse, studio photograph of recipient in uniform; various photographs of recipients, messmates and ships; newspaper cutting relating to loss of HMS Duchess; sympathy card from King George VI; official advice of death to Mrs C. Crook, Clovelly NSW; Programme for unveiling of C.Natham Naval War Memorial; and Imperial War Graves Roll of Honour Registration Forms. 'The Destroyer 'Duchess was sunk in collision with the battleship 'HMS Barham in the north channel, West Coast of Scotland on 12 December 1939. Six officers including the capt and 123 ratings were lost. One officer and 22 ratings survived.
