ITALY, Campania, Neapolis (Naples), (c.340-240 B.C.), silver stater or didrachm, (7.34 grams), obv. head of nymph to right, grapes behind, rev. bull walking to right, crowned by Nike flying right above, below **PA monogram, below exergue [NEOPOLITWN], (cf.S.307, Sambon 439, SNG ANS 318, SNG Ash. 94 [same dies]). Attractive tone, off centred on the reverse, attractive style on obverse, otherwise very fine and a scarce symbol.
