VESPASIAN, (A.D. 69-79), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 74, (3.542 grams), obv. laureate head of Vespasian to right, around IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG, rev. Vespasian seated to right holding branch and sceptre, PON MAX TR P COS V around, (cf.S.2300 [£65 VF], RIC 77, RSC 364). Slightly off centred on reverse, otherwise good very fine and scarce.
