EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (13.896 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. head of Ptolemy I to right wearing aegis, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front **APM* monogram, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU*, (cf.S.7771, Sv.205 and 339, SNG Cop 88). Several minor banker punchmarks in field, minor graffiti on reverse, otherwise nearly very fine/good fine.
