CYPRUS, Trajan, (A.D.117-138), AE sestertius, Salamis mint, issued 112-117, (26.75 grams), obv. laureate bust of Trajan to right, draped, around traces of AYTOKP KAIC NEP TPAIANOC CEB **GERM DAK*, rev. Zeus Salaminios standing to front, facing, holding short sceptre and phiale, around **[DHMARC EXUPATOS]*, in exergue [KOIN]ON KY**PRIWN*, (cf.S.1065, BMC 40-41 [Pl.XVI, 10], Parks 20b [p.101], SNG Cop.83, Weber 7752-3). Very good and rare.

Danielle A. Parks 'The Roman Coinage of Cyprus', Nicosia 2004, lists only 40 examples from all sources including private and public collections.
