PALESTINE, Roman Procurator of Judaea, Pontius Pilate, under Tiberius, (A.D. 26-36), copper prutah, (1.586 grams), obv. lituus surrounded by partial Greek inscription, TIBEPIO[Y KAICAPO]C, rev. uncertain date within wreath, (S.5623, cf.H.649-650 [114-5], AJC II Supplement V, No.23-4, Meshorer 230-1). Weak in places on both sides, otherwise very good.
