PROBUS, (A.D. 276-282), billon antoninianii, Antioch Mint (3.862 grams), obv. radiate bust of Probus to right, draped and cuirassed, around IMP C M AVR PROBVS P F AVG, rev. around CLEMENTIA TEMP, S in centre field, XXI in exergue, Emperor standing to right, holding sceptre receiving globe from Jupiter standing left, (S.3344, RIC 920, C.91); another Ticinum mint, (3.894 grams), obv. radiate bust to left in imperial mantle, holding sceptre with eagle, around IMP C PROBVS AVG, rev. around SALVS AVG, TXXI in exergue, Salus standing right feeding serpent held in her arms, (S.3367, RIC 499, C.576). Extremely fine and scarce. (2)
