PERTINAX, (A.D. 193), AE as, Rome mint, issued A.D. 193, (6.72 grams), obv. laureate head of Pertinax to right, around IMP CAES P HELV PERTIN AVG, rev. around VOT DECEN TR P COS II, S C across, Pertinax standing to left holding patera, sacrificing over an altar, (S.-, RIC 39). Short on flan, lightly tooled on obverse, otherwise very fine and very rare.
