LYCIA, Dynasts of. Kuprilli. Circa 470-440 B.C., silver stater (9.620 grams), obv. wild boar standing right, head lowered, IWMO on its side, P below, rev. KOP-RL-E around, (retrograde), triskeles; all within incuse square. (cf.S.5199, Morkholm & Zahle ("The Coinage of Kuprilli", Acta Arch, 43, 1972, pp.57-113) No.22 (dies A8/P9), Jameson 2319 (same dies); SNG von Aulock -; Trait‚ -). Nice very fine and very rare, with only two recorded specimens.
