TORTOLA, 1801, type 1 countermark, silver half dollar, a cut half segment of a Charles III 17 (?) Spanish American eight reales Tortola within shaped rectangular indent on obverse (see Pridmore SNG Sep 1974, 1a) (KM.7) Nearly fine, countermark very fine and rare.
