COMMODUS, (A.D. 177-192), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 187, (26.81 grams), obv. laureate head of Commodus to right, around M COMMODVS ANT P FELIX AVG BRIT, rev. around P M TR P XII IMP VIII COS V P P, MON AVG in exergue, the three Monetae standing left, side by side each holding scales and cornucopiae, (S.5771, RIC 500, C.375). Light brown patina, somewhat pitted in places, otherwise pleasant fine and very scarce.
