GALERIA VALERIA, daughter of Diocletian and second wife of Galerius, (c.A.D. 305-311), AE folles, Alexandria mint, issued A.D. c.308-310 (6.21 grams), obv. draped bust to right of Galeria Valeria on crescent, wearing necklace and embroided drapery, around GAL VAL ERIA AVG, rev. around VENERI VICTRICI, ALE. in exergue, Venus standing facing, head left, holding up apple, raising drapery, in fields to left K/B and right P. (S.3730, RIC 110). Attractive dark brown patination, extremely fine and rare in this condition.
