ITALY, Bruttium, Kaulonia, (450-380 B.C.), silver stater (7.750 grams), obv. Apollo with laureate head walking to right, holding fillet hanging from extended left hand, in field to left a fibula, rev. stag standing right, inscription around off flan **[KAULONIATAM]*, (cf.S.463, Noe (NS No.9) 176 [same dies], SNG Lockett 593 [same dies], Weber 988 [same dies]). Some hoard patina, nearly very fine, weak in places, rare.
