ITALY, Calabria, Taras, (302-281 B.C.), silver stater, (7.766 grams), obv. naked boy rider crowning stationary horse to right, AP monogram to left, below weakly struck **SWKP / ATHS*, rev. Taras astride a dolphin to left, holding tripod, to right **TARAS*, below **XOR*, (cf.S.363, Vl.669 [same dies]). Attractive very fine, scarce.
