MACRINUS, (A.D. 217-218), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.24 grams), issued A.D. 217, obv. bearded Macrinus laureate cuirassed bust to right, around IMP C M OPEL SEV MACRINVS AVG., rev. Securitas standing to left, legs crossed, holding sceptre and resting left arm on column, around PONTIF MAX TR P COS P P, (S.7347, RIC 24, RSC 62). Lightly toned, nearly extremely fine and rare.
