VICTORY MEDAL 1914-19, 5667 A-Sgt. H.P.Waters 17 Bn. A.I.F. Impressed. Spotted toning, very fine.

Harold Percival Waters born in the Parish of Linden near Boston, USA, had previous service of 6-months with Corps of Australian Signallers, Melbourne. After enlisting in the A.I.F. he embarked from Australia 24 January 1916. On 3 May 1917 he was reported MIA in France and following a Court of Enquiry by CO 17 Bn this was amended to KIA on the battlefield. Memorial Plaque No 339992 was issued to Miss E Waters on 12 December 1922. He is buried at Cabaret Rouge British Cemetery, 6 miles north of Arras. With document confirming KIA.
