PAIR: British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. Captain Q. Ercole A.I.F. Impressed. Very fine.
Quinto Ercole was the Medical Officer and Surgeon at Grenfell Hospital. He had previously served as a Lieutenant in the Italian Army 1896 - 1897. After enlisting he was posted to AAMC and sent to France. It was here that he suffered Pyleitis and was classified medically unfit and RTA 5 July 1916. Together with King's Silver War Badge, Returned from Active Service Badge and RSL Badge of the small size with the sailor and soldier design. Ex Tom Hanley Collection
