FRANCE, Boyveau-Laffecteur, 1841, bronze (gilt, 41mm), by Montagny. Extremely fine.
Engraved in the early 19th century by the famous engraver Montagny, as an hommage to Doctor Boyveau-Laffecteur who found a cure against syphilis. This doctor worked during the Empire, under Napol?on's reign, selling his medicine principally in France and Belgium.
