EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), gold octadrachm, commemorative issue for Arsinoe II, after 268 B.C., (27.88 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. veiled head of Arsinoe II to right, wearing stephane, rev. double cornucopiae bound with fillet, around **ARSINOHS FILADELFOU*, (S.7768, Sv.408, BMC 12 [p.43]). Extremely fine and very rare.
