ESQUIMALT ROYAL NAVAL BASE, c.1950, token in aluminium (25mm), five cents, obverse, denomination in centre and around, "Royal Naval Canteen", reverse, in centre, "Esquimalt / B.C." (Yarwood CT028). Fine and very rare.
Esquimalt Naval Base is on the coast of Vancouver Island and dates back to the 1850s. Control passed to Canada in 1906.
