SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 198 (2.296 grams), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around L SEP SEVERVS PER AVG P M IMP XI, rev. around PAR AR AB TR P VI, COS II P P in exergue, two captives seated back to back with trophy between them, (cf.6323, RIC 496a, RSC 359d). Toned, very fine or better, scarce.
