MACEDON, Sermylia, (490-480 B.C.), silver tetrobol, (2.422 grams), obv. naked horseman galloping to right, with spear, dotted border, rev. quadripartite incuse square, (cf.S.1287 [tetradrachm], SNG ANS 725 [same dies] = Rhousopoulos Sale Hirsch 13, May 15 1905 [lot 1003], BMC 15 [p.138]). Very fine, and very rare.
