MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), AE 17, uncertain Macedonian mint, (6.592 grams), probably life time issue c.345-336 B.C., obv. Apollo head to right with tainia, dotted border, rev. naked youth on horse, above **FILOPPOU*, below horse club to right, (cf.S.6696, SNG ANS 868, SNG Greece II 351, Weber 2065). Dark green patina, good very fine, well centred, scarce as such.
