ANCIENT GREEK, Italy, Phistelia, (380-350 B.C.), silver obol, (0.485 grams), obv. bust of nymph facing, rev. lion to left, serpent in exergue, (cf.S.316, Sambon 844, SNG ANS 584-7, SNG Munich 269-271); Thrace, Tauric Chersonese, Panticapaeum, (late 4th - early 3rd century B.C.), AE 13, (1.925 grams), obv. bearded Pan head to left, wearing ivy wreath, rev. bow and arrow, below **PAN*, (S.-, SNG Stancomb 562-563 [Pl.XXV], SNG BMC 901-905 [Pl.XXXIV], SNG Cop.46-47 [Pl.1]); Bosporus, Gorgippia, (1st century B.C., SNG Stancomb suggests 100-70 B.C.), AE 20, (4.74 grams), obv. Apollo laureate head to right, rev. Thyrsus leaning on tripod, across in two rows **GOR GIP/PE WN*, monogram ME to left, (S.-, cf.SNG Cop.1, SNG Stancomb 620); Thrace, Mesembria, (400-350 B.C.), AE 18, (2.48 grams), obv. crested helmet facing, rev. **MESA* in four quarters of a radiate wheel, (S.1675; SNG BMC 272-273, BMC 5-7). First with flan crack through the coin, otherwise very fine/fine, rare; others with surface roughness, otherwise nearly fine - very fine, the Gorpippia very rare. (4)
