ROYAL NAVAL RESERVE LONG SERVICE & GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, (EVIIR). 268213 J.T.Firth, C.E.R.A. 1 CL, H.M.S.Pioneer. Impressed. Extremely fine.
Together with a sterling silver fob in a garter style ensigned by a crown, with a 9ct gold centre shield engraved with the initials, 'JTF', reverse engraved, 'Bondi SC / March 1913' (Surf Club); Royal Life Saving Society Bronze Medal awarded to 'S.H.Firth / 13.1.16'; sterling silver fob with a gold centre shield, reverse engraved, 'C.S.H.S /Obj. Diving / S.Firth' (Combined State High School). The last two items possibly awarded to the son of J.T.Firth. The Bondi Surf Club was founded in 1907 so the fob issued in 1913 is an early piece of the Club's history.
