RAAF PILOT'S DIARY, record book (215mm x 145mm) begins with arrival at New York on 25 July 1942 aboard SS Ceramic, training at ATU Fern Hill in England and advanced training on Spitfires at OTU Llandow, South Wales, relates all training experiences, unit accidents, deaths, leisure activities, posting to X Flight under Flight Commander SQNLDR Barton DFC and Bar, ex Battle of Britain, concludes near end of training on 6 November 1942 with 39 hours on Spitfires. Loose cover, interesting first hand account of a pilot's training life, very fine.
