BANK OF NEW SOUTH WALES, share certificate for one hundred pounds, 31 May 1832, No.141, in the name of Samuel Terry, printed on vellum, transferred on the back to Mr John Malcolm by Rosetta Terry, 12th May 1838. Printed by W.Moffitt. Nearly extremely fine.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 54 (lot 3150). Samuel Terry (1776?-1838) was a merchant landowner known as the 'Botany Bay Rothschild'. He arrived in Australia as a convict after being transported in 1801. He was granted a licquor license in 1810 and was soon prospering. By the time of his death in 1838 his estate was valued at Å“250,000.
