FRANCE, French Fire Service, Medal of Honour with rosette, Long Service Medal in silver (25 years), Long Service Medal in gilt with bars (35 years); Great Britain, National Fire Brigades Assoc, Honorary Life Member Medal. First three medals unnamed, last medal inscribed, ’Presented to / Le Capitaine / Edouard Vigne / Calais / 1936’. Extremely fine.
Together with research confirming Captain Vigne’s awards and various other honours and his service history (1906-1945) as well as a poor quality photocopied photo of him in uniform.
