COOTAMUNDRA TROTTING CLUB, c.1920, handcrafted life members badge in 15ct gold (3.2gms), 25mm x 18mm, loop top suspension, inscribed on obverse 'Geo Pinkstone/Life Member', reverse 'Cootamundra Trotting Club'. Very fine.
George Charles Pinkstone was born in Cootamundra in 1889 and in 1913 was a foundation member of the Cootamundra Trotting Club. He was also on the committee as one of two auditors. A copy of an email message giving a rundown of the Pinkstone family history in the area comes with the lot.
