MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.11 grams), Colophon mint, issued c.323-319 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, ivy leaf in left field, A under throne, **ALEXANDROU* to right, (cf.S.6730, cf.Price 1763, BMC -, M.-,SNG Cop. -). Toned, nearly very fine and with collector's packet description.
