Roma or Mars helmeted head right, ROMA above, * behind, CERCO weak before, rev. galley to right within oak wreath, Q LVTATI / Q above, (S.182, Cr.305/1, Syd.559, RSC Lutatia 2); Mn. Fonteius C.f., (85 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.756 grams), obv. Vejovis laureate head to right, MN FONTEI C F behind, monogram ROMA before, thunderbolt below, rev. infant winged Genius seated on goat, above, caps of dioscuri, thyrsus below, all within laurel wreath, (S.271, Cr.353/1a, Syd.724, RSC Fonteia 9). Last bright flat in places, otherwise fine - very fine. (2)
