L. RUBRIUS DOSSENUS, (87 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.720 grams), obv. Jupiter veiled head to right, sceptre and [DOS]SEN behind, rev. triumphal chariot to right with small Victory standing on it, [L] RVBRI in exergue, (S.258 [?60 VF], Cr.348/1, Syd.705). Small flan, off centred obverse, otherwise very fine, scarce.

The type reflects the hope of Victory against C. Marius and his faction.
