AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), AE dupondius, posthumous issue, Rome mint, issued under Tiberius, (12.80 grams), issued A.D. 22-26, obv. radiate head of Augustus to left, DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER around, rev. large S C within oak wreath, (S.1787, RIC 79, BMC 143, C.252). Porosity with Tiber patina, otherwise nearly very fine, scarce.

Ex McHugh Collection and previously from Eugubium Studio Numismatico in Gubbio, Italy with ticket.
