CLAUDIUS, (A.D. 41-54), British imitation, AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 41-42, (19.81 grams), obv. laureate head of Claudius to right, around [TI] CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG PM [TR P] IMP, rev. SPES AVGVSTA around, Spes draped advancing to left, right hand holding flower, left raising skirt, (cf.S.1853, cf.RIC 99, cf.C.85, cf. CBN 165). Some tooling and surface scratches, otherwise good fine with packet.

Ex Pat Boland Collection and previously from B.A. Seaby, London with their ticket.
