NERO, (A.D. 54-68), AE dupondius, issued c.67, Rome mint, (13.79 grams), obv. radiate head to left of Nero, around NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG GER P M TR P IMP P P, rev. Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victory and parazonium, ROMA in exergue, S C across field, (cf.S.1966A, RIC 294, WCN 220, BMC 210). Dark greenish-black patina with surface roughness, some weakness in obverse legend, otherwise fine - nearly very fine and scarce.
