HADRIAN, (A.D. 117-138), AE dupondius, Rome mint, issued 118 A.D., (13.16 grams), obv. radiate bust of Hadrian to right, with drapery on the far shoulder, around [IMP]CAESAR TRAINAVS HADRIANVS AV[G], rev. FORT RED in exergue, PONT MAX TR POT COS II around, SC across field, Fortuna seated to left, holding rudder and cornucopiae, (cf.S.3663, RIC 557, C.759). Brown patination, good very fine, scarce.
