U.S.A., WWII, Guadalcanal, Hotel De Gink, Mess Pass, good for one week beginning Aug 14 1944, typed on manila paper. Tape marks around edges, otherwise very fine and rare.
The Hotel de Gink was on Guadalcanal, a hotel in name only as it was a collection of Quonset huts sprawled out below palm trees. It was used by troops in transit, many returning from R & R in Australia.
