Ex Hess-Leu Auction Sale 28, 5-6th May 1965 (lot 75, realised 4100 + 10% SFr.) and Noble Numismatics Auction Sale 78 (lot 4935). Panormos was the principal Phoenician city in Sicily. It produced a limited coinage in the latter part of the 5th century. The Panormos tetradrachms of this time were copied from other Sicilian tetradrachms (some including signatures). This example copied a Katana tetradrachm similar to ACNAC Dewing 581 and Rizzo Pl.11, 4-12.
