TIBERIUS, (A.D. 14-37), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 14-37, (3.79 grams), obv. laureate head of Tiberius to right, around TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F [AVGVSTVS], rev. PONTIF MAXIM, Livia seated to right, with vertical sceptre and branch, (S.1763, RIC 30, BMC 48). Very fine/good very fine and scarce.

Of Biblical importance as the issue is often described as the Tribute Penny (Mark 12: 14-17).
